Bone tissue engineering (examples of application)
nowadays is possible with:
- BMPs ( bone morphogenetic proteins)
- mesenchymal stem cells
In both cases scaffolds are required additionally.

Own publications on the subject of rhBMP-2 in oral surgery.

Up to now the use of BMPs in oral surgery has been off-label use.
Since March 9th, 2007 rhBMP-2 is approved by the FDA for reconstruction of the alveolar ridge and sinus augmentation.
